It explains that "disambiguate" means to play the same pitches and
durations while altering only the stress on particular notes (waltz vs.
march). Since toe-tapping can be similar to simple metronome action
(no emphasis on particular beats, just basic counting), I understand
Tony's comment. It was more an experiment about dynamics than
counting.
Nevertheless, it's interesting that body motion played a role in the
responses of an untrained baby --- as opposed to hearing alone.
