Dear Clarinetist/Bass Clarinetist,

Please encourage your advanced high school clarinet/bass clarinet
students to apply for the chamber music festival weekend described below
for selected students from New England to Florida, to be held at UMBC.
Students will rehearse and perform chamber music on Sat-Sun Oct. 29-30,
and have the option to enter a concerto competition with prizes.

I've pasted some information below - more is available at the festival
website indicated below. Selected students will be divided into groups
for the weekend (last year we had a clarinet quartet, and other
combinations such as a Beethoven cl/cello/pn trio and woodwind chamber
music with bassoon). To apply, we need a completed application form
from your student(s) with a tape/CD recording (application and recording
instructions on the website). The final deadline for these materials is
Sept. 15, but earlier applications are encouraged since we have a
limited number of openings.

Please let me know if any questions arise. Hope to see your student(s)
able to take advantage of this unique opportunity!

Best regards,

E. Michael Richards
