Subj: RE: [kl] Tempo for Mozart K622?

Arthur Jacobs asked on 6/2, a very good question about the tempo
of K. 622.

For a really good insight into the issues of Mozart's tempi, see

This very long URL may wind up getting broken into two pieces so
you may have to put it back together.

But one more thing about your question, "What do people have to
say about the tempo for the first movement of the K.622
concerto?," it is a great question for which no one has a
definitive answer. The two editions you mention have no
particular authority and I'm not even sure that the editor is
identified.

You have my permission to shoot anyone who says, "I know the
right tempo for K. 622."
