I've used the ATG system with bass clarinet reeds with success. The
principal is essentially the same. Tom R. emphasizes using a
symmetrical mouthpiece (such as Walter's) over an asymmetrical (like
Jim Pyne's) claiming that it is much more difficult to make a reed work
on an asymmetrical facing. I personally believe that it could work
with an asymmetrical facing as well - it's certainly worth
experimentation.

I am interested in Tom Smith's (way too many Toms!) tests with reed
longevity. Tom, let us know how this works out.

Hello all out there,

Does this System also work with alto and bassclarinet reeds?

Does it work with German System clarinet reeds?

Is there anyone here in Germany who has the ATG System?

Regards Georg
