There is most likely something out of adjustment on the instrument. The
squeaking is not too bad when you are playing slowly and carefully because
you are depressing the keys more firmly, forcing the leaky pad to
seal. Later, as you get more comfortable with the music, your fingering
gets quicker and lighter (as it should) and exposes the leaky pad.
