I imported a selmer clarinet and have been breaking it in 10 mins a day, but
today i tried to put it together this morning and the joint between the two
middle sections is very tight. It's not the cork, it's the wood below it. If
i say it fits TOO exactly, does that make sense? I think the wood in the
top joint has swollen more than the bottom, and it is really tight.
I have only been breaking in for 3 weeks, and it has come to the uk from the
us, so i guess humidity here is different.
Is it likely to settle? I don't want to force it together, as i'm afraid it
won't come apart again.

Any suggestions?
Cheers,
Jools
