have access if I need it to one of the sponsor's recording studio - he

Stck with what you're familiar with the learning curve once you start
getting into the "guts" is steep.

You could easily spend thousands of dollars on professional samples,
and Kontact is one of the standard formats (as is Giga and a few
others), so access is easy.
