It _can_, of course, but it has nothing to do with Finale, just as
Sibelius as a notation program is distinct in its output in reality
(Kontact is really just replacing your generic output with its output.
It has everything to do with the sound production machinery and its
interpretation of a MIDI file, along with how complete your MIDI file is.

Most television shows and some movies have no live musicians to play the
scores, but their MIDI files are generated by notation programs to start
with. With the right synthesizers, the sound is damn good. With more
really good patch editing (again, this affects the sound output), it
becomes difficult to determine that the instruments aren't real. With some
sophisticated sequence editing (touchup of timing, attacks, decays, etc.)
and digital hall effects, it can get really, really good - not quite
indistinguishable, but when played in the context of watching a show most
people can't tell since it becomes a supporting "channel" of information
rather than the primary channel.
