The Mozart Forgeries has attracted the attention of the American
Musicological Society board -- a good and a bad thing, since they're
even pickier than we are. Here's the latest:

>> See http://www.leesonbooks.com/forgeries/index.php for an essentially
'self-published' musicology novel that is actually a lot of fun. It
badly need editing, so some musicologists would enjoy it just for the
chance to take a blue pencil to it. As a former bookbinder, I especially
enjoyed seeing how much research on paper making and ink chemistry the
author did and how elaborate the plot had to become because of it. As a
music librarian, I'm not sure whether to be proud that one main
character is called Librarian or to cringe at the fact that he uses his
position for nefarious purposes. <<

Dan -- Just remember that these people don't like it when an "amateur"
steals their thunder.
