I was accepted into Berklee with scholarship but chose not to go for a
couple reasons. First, their clarinet program is nothing special.=20
Secondly, I have heard from many people who attended Berklee and
taught there that Berklee is like a factory. They mass produce
musicians, and everyone comes out sounding pretty much the same. They
will accept virtually anyone with musical talent as long as you can
foot the bill (16 grand/quarter). On the other hand they are a very
good music school, but as far as clarinet, I would steer clear of them
unless you are interested in playing saxophone.
