Well, I can usually get in tune, but it is different notes do to the fact
the barrel is not there, i beilive if i finger an F i get the accomodating
G. However, this technique is acutally used by Eric Mandat in one of his
peices. Its really cool and worth hearing. This guy is EXCELLENT at the
clarinet.

In other words, you have replaced the 'reed valve' with an 'air valve'.
Just out of curiosity, what does your tuner say about your intonation?
Does it get confused and jump around because of 'unusual' overtones?
