My amusement, of course, comes from the potential debate over an
irresolvable issue --- namely, what does "richer and fuller" mean for a
CD player?

The newspaper article says that Panasonic will begin marketing the
batteries "later this year."

Do you want to take a bet as to whether Panasonic will use the "sounds
better" argument in their advertising campaign? Perhaps they will
sponsor a composer or conductor who wants his music to be heard only
with these new batteries... or..... ?

LOL !!!

"milli Amp hour" is a measure of total capacity --- similar to asking
"how many gallons does this bucket hold?" --- whereas "volt" is a
measure of electrical 'pressure' or 'force'.

The newspaper columnist stated that, during his own personal tests, the
new batteries produced a brighter beam of light when used in a
flashlight, but they did not 'last longer' (= more capacity) except in
certain circumstances.

I'm no expert, but I doubt that 0.2 volts is enough to damage consumer
products.

FWIW, I fall into the category of those who can't download the files.

Someone recommended not using Dan Leeson's recordings for this
experiment. However, since each artist's name is not so uniquely
identified with 'dark' or 'light' --- whereas each artist *is*
identified with a particular nationality --- I wonder if there is
anything to be gained by using different recordings?
