All I know is that the Rechargeable AA batteries have come light years in
the past 2 years or so.
Now they are up to 2500 mAh which I have no idea what they are, but the more
the merrier. Used to be 1600 last year.
The bigger the number, the longer the battery keeps it's charge.

But ya got to wonder though if that higher voltage will damage the
components?

btw - I got all of 1 real request about wanting to take the Dark test. If
I'm going to put it together, I'm going to need at least 10 or more who
actually take it and answer.

Heh! Does this sound like a familiar argument?

Panasonic has announced a new flashlight battery which produces 1.7
volts instead of 1.5 volts. The company cites a test wherein 80
percent of musicians in a Japanese orchestra preferred the sound from a
portable music player powered by the higher voltage batteries.

However, in a different test, most people couldn't tell any difference
between the two sounds.

The newspaper didn't give details about the music played, or whether
more than one brand of music player was tested, or even what "most"
means.

The claims did make me chuckle, however.
