Some time ago I asked on this list about which music notation program could
be adviced. There were many responses, both on this list and privately, some
of which very good, some absolutely useless. I thank every one who answered
my question, even if I did not follow their advice.

Most reactions were favorable to Finale and Sibelius, even though there were
also some critical comments as to the use of these two programs. My final
choice has been Finale 2005, mainly because it is much cheaper and much
easier to obtain here. But I have already noticed I will have to relearn a
lot before really getting used to it. But I think it will be worth while.
