Although you guys (and gals) can tell when you are marginally out of
tune when playing in a group, and (one hopes) can adjust matters
accordingly on the fly, I was wondering...
How many in a "typical" audience can hear the problem being worked
out? (This is probably an unanswerable question.) Or really
appreciate it when you get it "right"?
I sure can't (I think). But that doesn't stop me from going to
concerts and enjoying what I do hear. (I also like to get up close
and watch the oboe players sweat and get red in the face...)
