The problem here, is that you are bending yourself all over the place to
accommodate those others. I think it is the responsibility of the conductor to
make everyone aware of intonation discrepancies, and to get people to listen
and adjust.
Good intonation is a problem in any ensemble, but all must work toward it as
a goal.
