Subj: [kl] Test Results

I didn't take the test. The discussion before was interesting, and fun,
as the test must have been, but it seemed a long distance from good
science. There were lots of variables, and perhaps an unclear question
to resolve. And it's probable that if a sufficiently narrow test had
been made, the conclusion would have been silly. eg., maybe one could
prove that Sabine Meyer has a recognizably different style than Charlie
Niedrich.

But more important to me is the pleasure I am now getting from
listening to the 20 samples. Thanks, Dan, and everyone that stimulated
this. I don't have such an extensive collection of clarinet music. As I
listen I'm amazed that there is such difference in sound and style. It
is a very real pleasure. As I listen, I sense my preferences and
prejudices toward clarinet sound. This is good learning for me.

(And this is definitely silly, but I intend to listen to all of them,
and to assign a nationality to each, just to see if there is any
pattern to my preconceptions. Hah! Maybe I'll even score 100%! :) )
