Kontact is a sampler/sequencer - the full-featured version will set you
back about the cost of Sibelius (last I looked I recollect it was about
$450 ) - that is a software-CPU solution. It still uses your soundcards
digital-analog converter so you can hear it, so if you have a low end
and/or noisy card you're not goung to get much improvement.
