I am unable to resist quoting the following line from that page:

Does it then follow that I can make my own tone more "wam" by leaving
the clarinet in the oven for a few hours? It already spends 23 hours
every day in complete darkness, and that hasn't seemed to have made the
tone more "dark".

Perhaps if I soaked it in chocolate...
