Hi Dick,

Lyndra says no (Mom's opinion), I say yes. To make it hard rubber some
kind of cross linking/polymerization reaction would be necessary which
could nudge it toward being a "plastic." If it is produced by an isoprene
---> neoprene reaction to begin with then it is synthetic rubber and would
fall into the category of "plastic." That's my 2 cents worth.

We're sitting in the Mountain House in Oakhurst (a WiFi hotspot) and I'm
checking my e-mail. We'll be up here for a couple of weeks. Nowadays I
split my time between the Huntington Beach Concert Band and the Mariposa
Symphony.
