Don't know about the '11' bit, but I have a pair of Selmer 10Ss that I am
actually playing on at the moment, due to the temporary non-availablilty of
my standard instruments. (I recorded the Spohr I and II concertos on the Bb
of this pair around 1979, and I thought it worked very well for me at the
time.)

And, I found I was quite comfortable playing Brahms I, II and Trio in Italy
on these instruments a few days ago.

Of course, everything changes with different reeds and mouthpieces, so what I
do now may well differ greatly from what I did back in 1979.

Anyway, don't be too taken in by the 'latest' bullshit. What counts is
*you*, and your choice of instrument, not what your choice of instrument is.
