I have a mpc wear question. I played a Kaspar in HS. The switched to Obrien
(which I chipped) and finally a Selmer S. After not playing for over twenty
years the only mpc I found was the Selmer. I replaced it with a new one; I
tried others and finally settled on the Selmer crystal 2. I usually I play
double lip but can go to single to get my teeth on the mpc and have a better
sense of my pitch relative to the ensemble. I have a back up for this mpc
but ...

My question:
Do crystal mouthpieces wear more slowly than others? I would really like
to hear from Clark Fobes on this.
