The Series 10S II and it's predecessors have been in Selmer's catalog since
the late 1960's. I am perfectly happy with my Series 10 from the early
70's (no S or G designations back then, but presumably it would be an
S). The new Artys and Odysee models replace the Series 10 models.

Bore sizes are different -- smaller, I believe. Significant changes have
been made in the keywork, too, particularly the crow's-foot keys. I find
most of the changes ergonomically beneficial. As for tone, that is in the
ear of the beholder. I like my 10, although I have not seen anything that
can beat a Signature for intonation.
