Can't help you with "A" - but have 2 of the Selmer Centered tone, plus a
later Selmer, and have tried out LeBlancs and
Buffets, - find little advantage with the newer ones - (Oh yes
Also have a pro-model Selmer Alto -2 piece, wood) and
would have no fear of one because of it's age - - They play
as well as the new ones.
