For those interested, the test of 20 different selections by 20
different players to determine if it possible to identify a
clarinet sound by geography of national barries has only three
more days to run. Tomorrow the 18th test item will be unlocked,
and the final test item will be unlocked on Saturday, April 2. I
will then collect the responses, find some meaningful way to
express the answers, ask a question or two of the list in terms
of a player whose geographic location leaves me puzzled as to the
kind of equipment he or she plays, and then I'll post the
results.

Be patient, it could take another week what with the courageous
ones saying, "Was the a Chinese sound or, perhaps, a lower
Slobbovian sound?"

I have no idea how this is going to come out.
