Hi Joe,

Perhaps I may be able to direct you to a source that may be helpful in
tonguing:

"Eventually Professor Stein's long and patient work with me brought my
tonguing to the point where my tongue's action was definitely correct, at
least almost all of the time, but it continued to lack speed for the faster
passages...as a professional performer...I was forced to change some of the
tongued articulations found on the printed page, remvoing some of the
staccato markings and adding some slurring marks where there had been none
before. I became quite adept at deception..."

If that sounds like you, he then goes on with a very teachable and learnable
method. This is from *The Clarinet and Clarinet Playing*, page 92, by David
Pino. An excellent book.

Best wishes,
Vann Joe Turner
