Joe Fasel.....
Don't you think this is a project for the guys at the "Lab" to throw a few
million dollars into?
Machines for conductors! Perfect. Musicians in control???
We can unplug them any time we want or need to.
Orchestra committees can fight over who does the programming.
Hardware firms working on dressing them in just the right set of tails.
Musicians kick them as they leave the pit without reprisal.
Letters of evaluations sent to software and hardware companies with regard
to performance of their conducting machines.
Tempo issues, taller, shorter, longer arms, longer baton, shorter baton, (no
baton), smoother beat pattern, sharper beat pattern, smaller beat pattern,
bigger beat pattern, cue...(what cue, the stage manager put me in a
different spot tonight....the bloody machine cued the trumpet...was I
supposed to play?)
Fun...but....maybe not so fun.
