Dan, Do not sign me up for the test. As I understand it from the criteria
of the questions to be answered, the test does not address whether a sound
is German, French or English in sound, but rather whether a player is from a
certain region of the world. As I stated originally, I think clarinet
playing can be divided into several groups of characteristic sounds best
named German, English and US/French because that is what the sounds are
called in accepted practice. It doesn't mean that because a player is from
Germany, they play with a "German" sound and the same can be said for each
of the other categories.
It looks to me that you are out to prove that your hypothesis is correct by
first creating a test and then skewing the results by the selection of the
questions regardless of whether the test is in fact a representative test of
the original presumption.
