No, but his concert music has been used in various films. (Platoon, The
Elephant Man, El Norte, Lorenzo's Oil)

"Souvenirs" is ballet music, BTW.

Those who want to criticize Barber as "lightweight" should listen to a
good recording of his Piano Sonata (Op. 26, 1949). The old Odyssey LP
recording by William Masselos, where it is paired with Copland's Piano
Variations, should do the trick. There is also a new disc (released
September 14, 2004 on Hyperion) by Marc-André Hamelin, which I have not
yet heard, that pairs the Barber sonata with Charles Ives' Concord Sonata.
