Wonderful news Sean. One piece of advice. Don't announce it as
a quintet for clarinet and strings because you are making an
assumption that everyone will know that you mean quintet for
clarinet and string quartet. Some will presume that it is for
clarinet and 9 banjos, or clarinet and six fiddles. I know that
nobody needs guidance for the Mozart quintet for clarinet and
strings, but yours will be a new piece. So be specific.
Otherwise I will insiste on a version for clarinet and 63 sting
basses.

Good luck.

Dear colleagues,

I have recently received permission from Hal Leonard to publish
my "Quintet
for Clarinet and Strings - The Beatles"

It uses 19 Beatles songs compositionally in 4 movements for more
than just
an arrangement. You can listed to excerpts at my site
www.osbornmusic.com/workslist.html

The movements are:
I. For Eleanor - Eleanor Rigby and For No One with a little While
My Guitar
Gently Weeps thrown in. There's a fugue, too

II. Mother Julia Will - Julia, I Will, and Mother Nature's Son,
consecutively and in layers for heightened emotional value,
especially if
you know the lyrics.

III. Chaos - Only a Northern Song is the vessle into which I pour
I Am The
Walrus, She Said/She Said, Stawberry Fields Forever, Being For
The Benefit
Of Mr. Kite, and is followed by a Blue Jay Way coda

IV. I've got nowhere. Love sunshine. Think writer! Because, the
End. - Many
songs jumbled together pointed towards their inevitable
conclusion.

Please contact me if you would like to perform it, or purchase a
copy.

Thanks,

Sean Osborn, composer and clarinetist, Metropolitan Opera,
retired
