....now I remember why I said "seven" instead of "four". In some
interpretations, "an arrow" can reasonably refer to either all arrows as
a class or to one particular arrow. For example, all "time flies"
could appreciate either all arrows in general or one especially
beautiful arrow.

But to bring music back into the discussion, it seems to me that
arguably more 'outside' or 'contextual' or 'world knowledge' information
is required to analyze our responses to a musical statement than to
analyze our responses to a linguistic statement.
