Subject: [kl] 5 piece metal clarinets on eBay

I have been taking notes on interesting metal clarinet auctions since late
2002. Around 200 metal clarinets are suctioned each month, but over 90% of
these were student models. I have notes on 407 "interesting" auctions.
Most of these were for pro soprano metal clarinets. I also take notes on a
few intermediate models, such as the Bundy, on metal alto & bass clarinets,
and on all albert metal clarinets. I am sure that several dozen were the
same clarinet listed more than once. A few folks buy, fix up, try out, lose
interest and resell, or just buy & sell to make a profit. In any case, of
the 407,
114 were metal soprano clarinets that came apart into five pieces.
Makers include Buffet (3), Conn(18 --including both double walled and single
walled -- the latter with a screw off bell), H.N. White (10), Kohlert (1)
Haynes (1) Leblanc (1) Selmer (59) Cousenon(1) Treibert (6) Robert Siour (1)
Penzel Muller (3) & Paul Dupree (1).and several with no names.

I would be happy to details, including recent auction numbers.
