It may be arrogance, but every musician should also own a set of good ear
plugs. The hearing you save will be your own... Eytomotic Research
"Musicians" earplus are fantastic. The sound is the best of any ear plugs
out there and you can get them with 15 and 25 dB cut filters. They sound
good enough that I can play with them and also use them when I mix front of
house on loud events. Spend the couple hundred bucks and get both filters,
have your audiologist make the ear molds and never listen to music the same
way again.
