I'm not sure I agree here, as we were discussing when talking about
accents and phrasing structures. However, that's not relevant to my
point:

What you just said could hold true when followed with "and thus a person
from france could produce a german sound". I thought his point was more
that there *is* no german sound.

In other words, we're not talking about the sound one player makes, but
the description of the concept of sound itself. I hope that makes sense;
I fear I am phrasing it in a rather unclear way...
