I'd take the challenge in a heartbeat. I (and probably many here on the
list) hear a recording of an Orchestra and can very often tell the
nationality of the Orchestra.

Sometimes it's from the Clarinets, sometimes from the double reeds. To me
it's nothing out of the norm and I would assume that many here do it.
