If this exchange results in Tony Pay giving a lecture on his performance
practice, or a backgrounder on his work in the Cambridge Companion, then
YOU BET I'm interested. If it takes a bit of bantering back and forth
first, it's well worth the price of admission.

If the volume of the list postings is a nuisance, do what I do:
subscribe to the digest version. You get one (or two) posts a day from
the list. Quite manageable.
