If you`re still at uni (RNCM?), think about forming something smallish
(quintet/8tet) with your colleagues. Many a college group has gone on to
become firmly established in the professional world. You`ll need a CV and a
demo CD with brochure to distribute. All this needs to be done as
professionally as possible, without breaking the bank - somewhat tricky.
You`ll need to put more hours in with group practice than with individual
practice - 12 hour days etc etc. And stay friendly with all your colleagues,
otherwise it may all fall apart. All this`ll keep you off the streets of
Moss Side to be sure. There`s only one way to do anything (he says, looking
back on his own wasted time), and that`s PROPERLY.
