Humm....

I took the family out to dinner last night. We enjoyed a Texas style BBQ
dinner at a local restaurant. I invited my wife and daughters to jump in
line first (a restaurant that uses a kind of cafeteria style setting).

First stop....the meat selection.

Wife orders: "ribs",
Daughter one: "ribs",
Daughter two: "ribs",
When it was finally my turn I said, "The beef and sausage plate"....

The entire crew, (working behind the counter) chanted...at the same time,
"professional ex-pec-ta-tions"....and then broke into a chorus having to do
with climbing the corporate ladder and getting to the top. It wasn't pretty.

It didn't take me long to get to the very top professional level of "BBQ
patronage". I hit the jack pot when I stood in line and ordered that beef
and sausage plate. I had no idea when I ordered the plate that I had
catapulted myself into a professional world (in the eyes of those food
servers).

What is it that you "expect" from "professional" musicians or music
educators (for that matter) Vann Joe Turner?
