The La Mirada Symphony Orchestra (Southern California) will be performing
it's annual Pops Concert on Saturday March 14, at 8 pm. Featured will be
music by Copland, Bernstein, Williams, and a special appearance by David
Weiss, former Principal Oboe with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, performing
on saw. It's an off-the-shelf Stanley Handyman, not a Strad. The concert
will be in the
La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. Here is the web site for

Admission is free.

Our last concert of the season will be on Saturday, April 30, and will
feature music by Shostakovich, Spohr, Saint-Saens and Tchaikovsky.
