What seems apparent is a great divide:

To some, music is a butterfly on the wing, living, breathing, moving,
glorious.

To others, it is a butterfly pinned onto blotting paper in a glass case in
some dusty museum.

Personally I subscribe to the first category: I'd rather hear the overture
to Oberon played by a high school band, than study the orchestral
manuscript.

But if anyone wishes to subscribe to the second, I'll respect that choice.

Best wishes,
Vann Joe
