Okay, here's a serious question about reed instruments:

I've wondered whether there's any technique that a bagpipe player can
use to affect his or her tone other than varying the pressure on the
bag? (I'm presuming that bag pressure makes a difference in the first
place, but I wonder what the effect is?)

Or is a bagpipe unique amng reeed instruments in the sense that the
equipment and setup control the tone and pitch completely?
