Caution about the Bonade Ligatures as they have been made within the last
few years. I have handled quite a few of these "newer" ones. For a while I sold
them from my website. My problem with them is that the metal edges, under
the screws, have not been de-burred, buffed, and polished. Since the edges are
very rough, they make fearsome parallel scratches in the back of the
mouthpiece.

The ligature seems to work just fine, and the damage to the mouthpiece is
only cosmetic, however, they really are very ugly scratches. It takes very
little time to make these ugly scratches, and they are so deep, it takes a half
hour of buffing time to make them disappear.

When I sold them from my website, I took the time to de-burr and polish the
edges. It became more trouble than it was worth, in that you could make only a
few dollars per ligature selling them.
