OMIGOD how many times do we have to go through all this stuff?

Ligatures don't matter. Or if they do, they matter only as a complement to
reeds, in the sense that you choose different reeds if you have a different
ligature -- or equivalently, a different ligature may make a particular reed
work better.

It might be worth owning some different ligatures for that reason.

But OK, drone on. You make money for the manufacturers, is all.
