Early in my career as a mouthpiece maker, I attempted to design a "Legere
Custom" mouthpiece. I found that the features required to make a Legere reed

work optimally were the same as those for a cane reed, so I did not continue
the
effort.

Having said that, I do believe that certain of my mouthpiece models are
more
friendly to the Legere reeds than others. This has more to do with the
interior of the mouthpiece than the facing, specifically in straight wall vs.
angled wall mouthpieces.
