Whatever you do, DO NOT glue rings on a wooden clarinet (OK for plastic,
though). The glue will mask the true problem, that the ring is too loose
to provide reinforcement of the socket against cracking from the stress of
the tenon. Also be careful not to over-tighten a ring in unusually dry
circumstances. That may cause even GREATER stress on the socket when
environmental conditions return to normal!

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
