I don't know if this is the "standard" way, but my orchestra conductor uses the
following notation on our rehearsal schedules:

2+1 indicates two clarinets, plus a separate bass clarinet part, for a total of
three players
3(1) indicates three clarinets, the third part doubling on bass clarinet but also
playing regular clarinet, again for a total of three players.

Also, he will occasionally arrange a part for bass clarinet (or contrabassoon,
English horn, etc.) for a piece that does not normally use it, and in that case,
he will use 2[+1] to indicate the added part.
