$300 was not a bad price for a quality instrument, even in plastic. There
is no reason for you to blow big bucks for a Buffet R-13 or other
professional-grade clarinet to learn on. To use an automotive metaphor,
you do not need a Cadillac, but a Pontiac, or even a Chevrolet, will suit
you just fine and take you anywhere you want to go. But you should AVOID
the YUGO.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
