Hey folks... Long time no see... After taking some time off on the =
list,
I've signed back on.

Anyways, I had a blast at NAMM this year. Gary, you should have dropped =
me
a line- I was there for 3 days. Unfortunately, most of the cool toys I =
saw
were on the audio side of things, but I saw some nice looking =
instruments
and some very cheap Asian ones (hello Walmart and Costco- we have the =
next
dud for you!). The only thing (besides the Buffet display) that really
looked interesting were the "Fortissimo (ff) Musical Accessories." It =
is a
Spanish company that made some pretty cool looking Ligatures and =
woodwind
stands. The stands seemed pretty stable and were quite small. The =
Ligature
didn't have a single piece of metal that touched the mouthipece. Even =
then,
there was one pad on the reed (a la Vandoren Optimum) and one pad on the
direct other side of the mouthpiece.=20
