Just a suggestion. Cut the tip from one end of the shoelace. Find the
point on the mouthpiece where you want the bottom of the wrap to
begin. Make the first loop - mark it - make some allowance for stretching
- then sew the end into a permanent loop. It saves time and (often) the
reed if you ever have to remove the string in the middle of a performance.
