Hi Jane,

Everyone on this list is going to have a comment about what ligatures they
like and dislike and why. But what we like may not be what you like (or
dislike) and may or may not give the same results to you that they give to
others. The only real way for you to make a choice about a ligature is to
try it. If you like what it does for you then you can decide if you want
to spend the money to buy it. There really is no other way to find
out. While you are waiting to go try them out, try a rubber band at home
and see how your reed responds when the rubber band is loose and then
tight. Do the same thing with different thicknesses of string. You might
find after all your searching that what you have is just fine. Good luck.
